Bridge St Brass is a brass quintet formed in 2023 by students at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. The group aim to champion female players and composers within the brass world, and since its formation has enjoyed exploring a diverse array of repertoire, from classical brass quintet works by Arutunian and Ewald, to arrangements of film music and forays into jazz.

The group was proud to be a finalist in the 2025 Bernard Brown Brass Ensemble Prize at RBC, and is fortunate to be becoming increasingly busy with engagements, both across the West Midlands and further afield. These have recently included concerts at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, the Library of Birmingham and St George’s Barbourne.

The ensembles programme aims to get you into the festive spirit, with arrangements of Fairytale of New York, music from the classic Christmas film The Polar Express, and more festive standards, as well as modern works for brass quintet by Violet Archer and Catherine McMichael.

Free admission, no booking required, simply turn up and enjoy the music!
