Join Garforth Jubilee Band at West Park Fields for a free concert of brass band favourites from 2.30pm-4.30pm.
Garforth Jubilee Brass Band is the first band to be formed in Garforth since the Victorian era when the village band was closely associated with the miners. Garforth was an active mining village with a number of sizable pits. The band’s current rehearsal room is next to the site of the Trench Pit, located in Ninelands Lane, and it was named after Col. Richard Oliver Trench who was the husband of Isabella Gascoigne.
