Ivan Rogachev is a diverse clarinetist balancing his career between solo, orchestra and chamber music.

Native Russian, Ivan completed his first degree at Mussorgsky college in Saint-Petersburg with Alexey Tikhonov in 2018. By that time, he was already a laureate of several competitions and festivals in Russia, including “Weber international Clarinet Music Competition” (1st prize). Since the age of sixteen Ivan was selected as an artist of Saint-Petersburg House of Music and has been performing in most prestigious halls in Russia and abroad.

As an orchestral musician he won a position at Britten Shostakovich Festival Orchestra. In the same year he became a principal in London Film orchestra. During his second year he became one of the awardees of the Cherubin Trust Foundation and he won a solo clarinet position at London Sinfonietta Academy. At the same time, he has received a several grants from Gartow Foundation to support his participation in many master-classes in Germany and Belgium.

In 2019 he has been accepted by Royal Academy of Music with full scholarship to study in London with Mark Van de Wiel. During his first year he won prestigious Hattori Foundation Award, second prize at “Buffet-Crampon competition” at Royal Academy of Music. He has been awarded a “Special Talent” diploma at Brugges clarinet Festival in 2019 for the solo performance.

As a chamber musician he has won a “Dolzhikov international Music Competition” with his trio in Moscow in 2018 (1st prize). In the UK he has already performed a wide range of repertoire with varied groups.
