Frank Bridge Phantasy Piano Quartet
Florence Price Piano Quintet: Andante and Juba
Antonín Dvořák String Quintet

Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, hailed for its “exhilarating performances” (The Times), is hugely excited to make its LICS debut in a programme of sumptuous chamber works both familiar and lesser known. The central work is Dvořák’s radiant String Quintet in E flat, written during his summer in America which also inspired the New World Symphony. African-American composer Florence Price’s Piano Quintet draws on spirituals and dance forms, and was described by BBC Music Magazine as “the hit” of Kaleidoscope’s debut CD, while Frank Bridge’s early Phantasy Piano Quartet is one of the loveliest examples of English romanticism. The programme will conclude with some of Kaleidoscope’s own arrangements bringing together all six players, to be announced from the stage!
