Francesca Massey’s recordings and recitals have received wide critical acclaim. She makes a welcome return visit to the series with a complete performance of Whitlock’s Sonata, a major English organ work with influences of Rachmaninov, Delius, and Elgar.

Organ Renewal Project at Leeds Town Hall

Work on the renewal of the Town Hall organ is well under way. Apart from the massive front pipes, which are stored on the floor of the stalls awaiting redecoration, the organ has been completely removed to Nicholson & Co’s workshop in Malvern.
