This concert is part of Leeds Best of Brass 2024/25.

Formed in 1910 in County Durham as the Craghead Colliery Band, and until recently named Reg Vardy Band, the EverReady Band looks forward to a new chapter in its history. In addition to contest successes, the band has recently welcomed some new talented musicians to its ranks including experienced principal cornet player Tina Mortimer and Kate Garnett on second trombone. Under the baton of Resident Conductor Chris Shanks, EverReady Band is renowned for its high-quality entertaining performances.

About the Leeds Best of Brass 2024/25 series

Come and enjoy some of the UK’s best brass bands live in concert.

Plans are now well underway for a major redevelopment of Morley Town Hall to restore the stunning Victorian architectural features of the town’s much loved civic building and enhance visitor facilities for all to enjoy. The building is due to close to the public at the end of 2024, which allows the first two concerts in our Best of Brass series (Sat 28 Sep & Sat 2 Nov) to be performed at Morley Town Hall.

The remaining six concerts, from January onwards, will take place at Pudsey Civic Hall which has excellent public transport links and parking facilities. We look forward to welcoming you to Morley Town Hall and our temporary home at Pudsey Civic Hall over the coming months.

Morley Town Hall is a beautiful Grade I listed building with a traditional Victorian concert hall. Seating in this venue is unreserved. Found out all about Morley Town Hall.
