This concert will last approximately 50 minutes.

Our final recital includes works by Jongen, whose 150th anniversary falls this year, and English works by Bairstow and Wesley. Lemare’s formidable Toccata – in the French style but with definite echoes of Wagner – concludes the series.

Organ Renewal Project at Leeds Town Hall

Work on the renewal of the Town Hall organ is well under way. Apart from the massive front pipes, which are stored on the floor of the stalls awaiting redecoration, the organ has been completely removed to Nicholson & Co’s workshop in Malvern.
