We’re thrilled to welcome back Romanian pianist Alexandra Dariescu to close the series. Alexandra has forged an exciting career over the last few years and will present a fascinating programme featuring works by two French female composers, Germaine Tailleferre and Lili Boulanger. Alexandra has chosen the sumptuous piano version of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker to bring her concert to an end.

The Series

We’re delighted to introduce the third Leeds International Piano Series, a collaboration between Leeds International Concert Season, Leeds International Piano Competition and The Venue, Leeds Conservatoire.

We have a truly wonderful line-up of pianists in store this season and look forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces to Leeds audiences. Artists from Canada, Argentina, Israel, Russia, and Romania will perform classics from the piano repertoire by Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, and Robert Schumann, along with lesser-performed works by Lili Boulanger and Camille Pépin in their carefully crafted programmes.

We look forward to welcoming you to these concerts.
